So I am pretty new to quite a few concepts in the bios world but I am working on a 12th gen intel Acer insyde bios and was surprised I could not find the uuid details in the binary. After purchasing the tool there was a section that detected vss security. It cleaned the section and after looking at the changes it looks like it removed a digital certificate and some other data. Is this the area that I was looking for it seems to be in the NVRAM. Is it possible to use the certificate to create a new entry with the correct uuid or is it just a public cert and I would need a private one to do so? Also by removing the cert and reflashing would it allow me to set these items? Any help would be appreciated and I don’t mind paying more if I can a. Learn how it works and b. Be able to repeat it myself to fix in the future.
